I have always been interested in plants and animals and many of my works include some reference to one or other. Over the years I have shifted from making the flora and fauna as central aspects of a work to a point where they represent our relationship with the land both in positive and negative ways. Hence the discovery of Datura Ferox on our land was cause for concern ,likely originating through livestock feed. As a farmer’s daughter with more than a passing interest in weeds it became the focus for my work in the Pandemic series.

My preferred medium is printmaking and the freedom that new materials allow the development of new processes based on old traditions fascinates me.
