Ambivalent Emotion, 2020
etching and linocut
My work as a Printmaker usually concerns the littoral margins of wetlands and shorelines.
When the Covid 19 pandemic hit earlier in the year it was the imagery of hands and faces at windows which to me, most vividly expressed the lockdown. Using etching and aquatint, repetition of hand forms best represented that anxious time.
